Well … by the time you read this, this will be the LONGEST pregnancy yet (of mine, that is)! 40 Wks, 5 days and still no action!! And so we wait …. In the meantime, I have a fun announcement ….
I’m excited to be a part of a new Summer series with five other very talented bloggers. We’re calling it …
Think Outside The Toy Box.
It’s designed to be a weekly series focusing on creating fun kids activities with everyday household items OTHER than the traditional toys.
Now … we may decide to use these in a craft, in a game, in an educational activity, in an experiment, etc. The only criteria is that it involves our little ones. Mine will be focused primarily on toddlers and preschoolers (and possibly babies … if this third one EVER arrives!!).
There’s also a chance for YOU to join in the fun and share in the creativity! Each week, we’ll also have a link up. If you’ve got a great idea for a kids craft using the item of the week … link it up! We’d love to share the ideas, as we all need help keeping our kiddos entertained in the Summer (or any season, really) from time to time!
Now … speaking of the weekly item ‘themes’ here they are are:
May 26 – Glow Sticks
June 2 – Plastic Soda Bottles
June 9 – Paper Grocery Bags
June 16 – Kool-Aid
June 23 – Ice Cream Cones
June 30 – Pool Noodles
July 7 – Wax Paper
July 14 – Puzzle Pieces
July 21 – Paper Cups
July 28 – Plastic Milk Jugs
Each Monday, we’ll share our ideas and will have the link up available for all of you to join in! We’d just LOVE it if you participated with us on this series!!
Now … I’m laying out my disclaimer right now. With baby #3 arriving shortly (like hopefully in hours rather than days), I may not ALWAYS get to come up with my own unique idea, but I’ll still have some ideas for you each Monday!! I’m going to try my hardest to come up with a creative, new idea to share, but we’ll just take it one day at a time!
Stop over to check out the other ladies participating in this fun series:
Thanks for stopping by! Can’t wait to see all of your creative ideas this summer! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and pray that when it’s over … I finally have a newborn to hold!!
