Party in Style … DIY Koozies!

April 22, 2014

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend.  The weather up here in Minnesota was finally absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!  I’m pretty sure Sunday was the perfect day!!  My hubby got lucky, as it was also his birthday.  We spent lots of time outside, and nearly zero time working on house projects (still not sure where this baby is going to sleep …).

Anyway … I have a couple things to share today:

First up (and the subject of today’s post) …

I’m simply thrilled to be over at A Prudent Life today sharing some fun, easy DIY Koozies just in time for your Spring and Summer BBQ’s.  Even if you can barely sew … you can make these (I promise)!!

DIY Koozies | View From The Fridge

Head on over to A Prudent Life for full details and picture tutorial (and say “hello to Melissa while you’re there)!

Next up …

AnthroWeekCompositeAquaBigger-2

I mentioned a week or so ago that I’m participating in Anthropologie Knock Off Week with four other fabulous bloggers!  Guess what … it’s coming up NEXT week!  We’re each sharing 6 knock off projects … SIX!!! … for a total of 30 Anthro knock off ideas.  How exciting is that?!?  You may never need to buy anything from there again!

We also need YOUR participation!  We’ll have a link party on the last day for you to show off your Anthro knock off projects!  It could be anything from there … jewelry, decor, kitchen stuff, clothes (if you’re super talented), etc …  So … get to work if you want to play along or just get excited if you’re just looking for some inspiration!

Here’s a sneak peak of a few of my supplies for these knock off projects (can you guess what I’m making???):

Last up …

guestPOstersI’m still looking for a couple more bloggers to help me out during my ‘maternity leave’ coming up!  Baby #3 is scheduled to arrive in just under 4 weeks, and I’m planning on scaling back my crafting, decorating, and blogging during the first couple weeks/months home with him or her.  I would be forever grateful to anyone interested in guest posting on View From The Fridge during this time.  Recipes, Crafts, Decor, DIY, Parenting, Kids Activities, Random thoughts, Baby advice … these would all be great topics for a guest post.  If you’re interested … email me to discuss further details and dates.

 Thanks for stopping by today!

I made these koozies today for my mason jar I use for tea. I’m a beginner at sewing and I was able to make it real quick. It’s adorable. I can’t wait to see if it keeps the jar from sweating.
