Why am I making a Princess Anna Cape when I live in a house of all boys, you ask? Well … sometimes I like to dress up, people!! What, a mom can’t play princess with her superhero boys?
Okay … I’m Joking.
It’s not for me. It’s actually for Ang from Juggling Act Mama’s daughter Olivia. Apparently, she is quite the Frozen fan and for her recent birthday, Ang knew she would love an Anna cape to go with her Elsa one we made last Fall. And I can’t resist the chance to make anything pink and purple … and princess like.
I wanted it to be an easy project (something that others could replicate without even a sewing machine)! I also wanted it to be kid friendly (using velcro to attach cape rather than ties or snaps). And I wanted it to be similar to Anna’s (note I say similar … not exact).
And, of course I made my boys help me model the cape so I could be sure to get the measurements close to accurate for a kiddo. Here’s Owen … err I mean, Anna, modeling it for you …
I think Olivia makes a bit better Princess. Go check out all the details and easy tutorial over at Juggling Act Mama HERE.
Happy Monday! I’m a bit exhausted from our Spring Break last week (no … we didn’t go anywhere, but the boys also didn’t have school so we tried hard to keep entertained), painting some rooms in our house, building stuff, and throwing Charlie and our Nephew, Jackson, a birthday party yesterday. I’m ready for a nice quiet week. Do you think the boys have the same idea?!?
