Hey there!!  Did you guys think I forgot the password to my blog?  I’ve been MIA the past week or so because I was out in LA celebrating the future Mrs. Walburg (and my very-soon-to-be-sister-in-law, Jess)!! It was beyond fabulous, Jess had a wonderful time, we got a snippet into the life of those that reside in  90210 (seriously … our neighbors for the weekend were Donald Trump and Jane Fonda), and I’m utterly exhausted.  Still.  And we got back two days ago.  #gettingold  (also, there are a select few pictures from the weekend at the end of this post that I deemed ‘okay’ to share if you’re still reading …)

BUT … back to the subject of this post, our {formerly} pitiful backyard.

I had so much fun partnering with Home Depot on this Fall/Harvest/Halloween Challenge!  Basically … they sent me a box or two full of Halloween goodies to use as I saw fit to create, ‘An Outdoor Halloween Party.’

Well … our front porch was currently under construction, which left our backyard space as the setting.  However, here’s what it looked like a couple months ago (when I signed up for this challenge):

The Space … BEFORE

Not exactly a space I wanted to hang out in myself … let alone entertain in (although, by the looks of it, my kids do enjoy the space).  And here’s what a weekend worth of work (and I mean very part-time work at that) was able to do:

Much better, right?!?

You can see more of the final space on Home Depot’s blog HERE.

I also have a tutorial on how I created the ‘BOO’ sign (that could really be turned into any word for any holiday or season) on Home Depot’s blog HERE.

Stay tuned for further tutorials coming on the cinderblock bench, the outdoor DIY curtains, and the pipe fitting DIY curtain rod.

And now … a couple pictures of the bachlorette party in Beverly Hills:

The pool was our main attraction for the long weekend, and Coors Light looks so much classier in a floating flamingo:

And my lovely sisters (one soon-to-be):

I heart you both!

I heart you both!

T minus 18 days ’til the big day!  Can’t wait!!
