Just a little Saturday morning ANNOUNCEMENT!!

November 30, 2013
Baby Stahl #3 expected in May!!

With all the things we’re thankful for this year, we haven’t mentioned one BIG thing we’re thankful for …

Baby Stahl #3 expected in May!!

Baby Stahl #3 expected in May!!

We couldn’t be more excited to announce that our newest addition is due in May!  Charlie is going to be a big brother, and Owen a ‘bigger’ brother!  Owen did say earlier this year that he wanted a baby for his birthday … (actually, he said he wanted a baby sister for his birthday).  He is going to get that wish right around his fourth birthday (baby sister or brother … we’re not finding out)!

We found out this news back in September, just before our trip to Vegas.  That feels like an eternity ago (though, it was actually only about 11 weeks ago).

We REALLY, REALLY wanted a third baby, but we were thinking maybe next Fall would be a good time.  Well, this baby decided he or she wanted to be born in the spring (like ALL the other members of our family)!  That ‘surprise’ in September made for a ‘different’ trip to Vegas, a cancelled trip to Austin two weeks later, and an exciting Fall and now holiday season!!

We have a lot to do before May, and construction has already started in the rooms upstairs!  I mentioned a month or so ago, that we were planning to move Owen and Charlie into one room.  Well, now you know the driving force behind this move!!  We only have three bedrooms upstairs, so we figured that O & C could share a room.  Last night was our first attempt at that, and I’m happy to say, that besides the 5:45am wake up call (which isn’t so rare these days), things went well.  Matt has started tearing up some of Owen’s room, so I’ll share some of that work/progress soon.

Besides the bedroom/sleeping situation, we also need a new car (both of ours will only fit our two existing car seats).  Is there a mini-van in our future (even though I swore I’d never drive one)???  (BTW, I’m guessing the answer to this previous question is YES).  :)

We didn’t officially tell the boys until we sent out an announcement to most of our friends right after Halloween (the ones that we hadn’t told in person).  So, on Halloween, I made the boys pose for this picture:

Owen was thoroughly confused because we hadn’t officially broken the news to him.  He kept asking, “Who’s that other chair for, Mom?”  Sorry, O, I knew that once you knew, everyone might know :).

He’s now completely in the know, and super excited.  Charlie has no clue, except that he’s added “baby” to his {very limited} vocabulary.

I’m 16 weeks tomorrow, and have had little to complain about through the first trimester (I am counting my blessings, as I know I could have been a lot sicker).  So far, so good, and we plan on it continuing that way.  One thing we’re going to do differently this time, is wait to find out whether it’s a boy or girl.  We found out with both boys at 20 weeks.  Since this is probably (note I say probably) our last baby, I wanted to just see what it’s like to find out when he or she is born.  I want to see what it’s like to have the doctor announce, “It’s a boy!” or “It’s a girl”.  I can only imagine that it’s a great feeling!  And, if it helps give some extra motivation while I’m in labor, than I’m all for it!!!

I’m sure I’ll be sharing some more details of our pregnancy (thus far, and as we go), baby projects, house project, car shopping, etc, as we go through the winter and into Spring.

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Saturday!

{also, I’m working hard on a wreath project to share with you tomorrow … hopefully!! …. stay tuned}
