Um … I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day complete with lots of wine, chocolate, and good food, but we’re moving on folks! St. Patty’s Day is a month from today … Woohoo!!
Now … even though I’ve got a wreath up already, I’m not an abnormally huge fan of this holiday. I’m not Irish, I don’t own much green, I can’t stand whiskey (though I do enjoy green beer), but I do love the hope of Spring and warmer weather that this holiday brings with it. A couple years ago it was 80 here on St. Patty’s Day. EIGHTY.
Do you know what the high is projected to hit here tomorrow?!? 0. ZERO, my friends.
That’s 80 minus 80. And did you catch that 0 is the projected HIGH?!? #takemebacktoFlorida
The possibility of 80 degrees in a month is what’s getting me through. Even 50 would be great. Spring … please hurry!!
Today I’m over at My Crafty Spot sharing a quick how-to on this wreath:
It may look slightly familiar as I just gave my Christmas wreath a facelift (because I’m
cheap and lazy thrifty and creative like that).
Here’s the ‘Christmas’ wreath that was hanging on my door a couple days ago (I was just pretending the red was for Valentine’s Day … not that I’m too lazy to take down the Christmas decor) …
Same burlap chevrons + different accessories = a whole new wreath
Best part is … I’ll add in a couple pink and yellow flowers after St. Patrick’s Day is over and call it a Spring wreath!
Ahhh …. more thrifty and creative updates like that!
