Book Page Halloween Watercolor Art

Have I mentioned that our dog chews up books when she’s mad at us? Well, apparently she’s mad at us a lot lately because my torn up book pile downstairs is growing …

So, what am I doing about it?

Well, last week I raided my boys’ craft stash to find their watercolor paint, and made some festive Halloween inspired ‘art’.

Note:  I say ‘art’ in a very loose sense of the word.

My kids could make this art, BUT I kinda love how it looks on my wall.  And it was free, so that helps, too.  You may have spotted this art in my Halloween Home Tour that I shared last Friday.

Check out the tutorial over on Juggling Act Mama!

On another note … we had an absolutely gorgeous Fall weekend here.  The kind that you never want to end.  The kind that make you love living in this state (until you realize what’s coming next).  It was also the kind of weekend that made up for our rainy spring this year and horribly cold winter.  Makes me almost forget those months.  Almost.

We managed to take a couple family pictures, too!

Ben is shoe-less and looks a bit like a linebacker in his enormous sweater, but I love these pictures!

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  Did you get lucky with the weather, too???

Wellgee whiz, seems everybody before me has already said it all about your boys and your art projects. Love them all, especially little boys. Could just hug and snuggle them forever. Great way you made the art, I take it your dog ate a book?
Yeah we have one of those kind of dogs also. Or he was, mostly grown out of it now. Used to be he’d destroy anything I got for front porch or the yard. He even got a tomato cage on his head and proceeded to run all over the yards entertaining us.
He watches out for the chickens, if our cat is near them he knocks him over and talks to him, no kidding.
I have two boys that are 16 months apart but they’re soon to be 52 in Dec. and one is 50. Oldest boy was due on Christmas Eve but I wasn’t about to be in hospital over holiday so I ran for bus with oldest daughter on hip and he came 3 days early. Went home on Christmas Eve. In those days we were kept in hospital for 3 days. I had 3 kids in less than 4 yrs. Sure glad I was young then. Wish I could do it all over again and of course be very young again.
    Happy Halloween
