Baby THREE update … weeks 21-24 {and a little January recap}

February 6, 2014
24 weeks pregnant

It’s been about four weeks since my last update, so I thought I’d drop in today with a {very quick} baby three update.

All things pregnancy related have been pretty uneventful (just the way I like it!!).  I had my 24 week appointment last week, and they did a second ultrasound to check the spine.  Baby 3 wouldn’t cooperate (and flip over) at my 20 week appointment, so they just wanted to check again at this appointment to make sure everything looked good and normal.  And it did!  Baby 3’s anatomy ultrasound checkup is now officially complete and normal!  Hooray!  I still held off finding out the gender.  The ultrasound tech asked again if I wanted to know.  I stuck to my guns, and said ‘no’.  I’m about 90% sure I saw some boy parts, however, when she was checking the bottom of the spine.  I didn’t ask.  She didn’t say anything.  Who knows … it could have been anything.  For the most part, I have no clue what we’re looking at unless she explains and points.  I’m preparing myself for a third boy, however.  In my head, everything I picture involves a little baby boy being born in May.  More navy, more pee pee teepees, and more brotherly love is what I envision.  Ya never know, though!  Time shall tell.

And if you missed my previous posts … and you’re just dying to hear about the details of this pregnancy so far (ha!), click here:

As for my other two boys, they have been plenty busy (and a little stir crazy with all this cold, snow, and school cancellations).

Lots of art projects.  Painting …

And we even got to a superhero birthday party. Liam’s 4th birthday!  It was a blast AND everything was so cute!  Custom, handmade capes for all (all kids that is).

Here’s the birthday boy (Batman) and his sidekick (a.k.a little brother), Robin:

And that’s about it for January from around here.  We’ve been working hard on some house projects, so hopefully I’ll have some of that to share soon!

Stop back tomorrow for more organizing {hopefully!!} …

    So glad to hear everything went well at your appointment! I’m sure you hear this a lot, but you are seriously the cutest pregnant lady I have ever seen! You give me hope! You’re so good for holding out on finding out the gender. I don’t know if I could do it. I will be dying to find out if you’ll be having your third boy! You truly have a gorgeous family!

      Hi Angela,
      I totally didn’t see your comment last night … not sure why?!? Thank you for your sweet comment. And, no, I don’t get that comment a lot. Usually I look like a flustered mess. My two boys are a bit of a handful some days … can’t wait to see what chaos a third throws into the mix! I’m so sure this third one is a boy. We’ll see, I guess. So weird not knowing for sure. Time is going by much faster on this third pregnancy, though!

    You are looking great Katie! Your so tiny. 😉 The birthday party turned out great you should consider doing party posts for the site, especially if your making stuff yourself. I get so much traffic from my parties.

      Thanks, Courtney! Not tiny, though. :) I didn’t have anything to do with that birthday party … it was all one of our very creative friends doing! She did a great job. I’m trying to think of something for Charlie’s 2nd birthday in April. The only thing he really loves is Thomas the Train (and that’s not super exciting for me). We’ll see. I just love your DIY party ideas!! Also, I need you to teach me how to make cake pops (did I mention that before?). I have a pan and everything, but I CAN NOT do it!! I love the look of them … not sure why I can’t make them!!

    […] think the last time I posted an update on baby #3 was about 8 weeks ago.  Looking back on that post, I’m slightly jealous of my belly then.  Why did I think it was so big?!?  You should see it […]
