Friday Faves . . . February 1st
Happy Friday! February is here, and hopefully the worst of winter is just about over??? (let’s hope . . . today was a rough one)
A friend of mine received a ‘clay date’ for his birthday. A what??? Yep . . . just like it sounds, it’s a date for him and his wife to go learn to use a potter’s wheel (and take home a handmade clay pot, too!). Something fun and unique . . . A little different (can’t help picturing the scene from Ghost with Demi and Swayze)! Anyway, it got me thinking about fun Valentine’s Day Dates.
Clay Date and Tapas. In the Mpls area? Look into Fired Up Studios. Keep an eye out for Groupons for date night, too!
Cross Country Skiing then warm up with hot chocolate or coffee in the chalet or your favorite coffee house after! Perfect afternoon date if you live where there’s snow! No snow? How about hiking and ice cream?
Rock Climbing and a beer or two after? (Note: the sequence of events is key here . . . climb, then drink beer). Check out this ‘Rock Star’ date idea from the ladies at The Dating Divas.
Not sure what we’re planning to do on Valentine’s Day. It’s almost 2 weeks away . . . we don’t plan that far in advance! 
I’m open to any more ideas!!
This weekend, however, is jam packed for us! City of Lake Loppet is going on and we’re planning on catching the Luminary Loppet on Lake of the Isles at our friend’s new home. Then to the Orono Rotory’s Mad Hatter Ball Saturday night. And, oh yeah, the Super Bowl on Sunday evening!
