Again, I’m simply amazed at all the creativity and talent that I saw at our weekly link party, DIY Sunday Showcase!
There are always a few projects that completely blow me away. I just HAD to share some of my favorites from last week. I chose 12 inspiring DIY projects for around the house to feature this week, but there were many, many more I could have also chosen. I’m also loving all the fun Spring and Easter crafts that have been showing up!! #BringOnSpring!!!
Be sure to stop over to last week’s link up and view some of these great projects for yourself!
>> NOW ONTO SOME DIY! <<
Crib Table from Lip Gloss and Lumber.
Genius!! Seriously … I’ve pinned this, and fully intend on creating one (maybe two) of these when my kids are out of the cribs (which would require us to STOP having more babies). This makeover turned out just lovely! Meg did a wonderful job, and she has a great tutorial to share.
Picture Frame Makeover from A Prudent Life
Melissa’s thrifty office / guest room makeover is just gorgeous!! She has a million great ideas to decorating on a budget. In this post, she shares how to makeover thrift store frames (which just so happens to be one of my favorite thing to buy). I love how this robin’s egg blue frame turned out! Looks great with that printable from SohoSonnet Print Shop, too!
DIY Sunburst Mirror from Place of My Taste
I’ve been pinning DIY Sunburst Mirrors for about a year. I fully intend to make one (one of these days…). This one from Aniko is fabulous, and looks fairly easy to make! It’s officially the front runner example for when I finally get around to making this for our home!!
IKEA Chandelier Hack by Bohemian Junktion
This Ikea hack came at the perfect time for us. We have a couple places in our house that require plug in light fixtures (rather than hardwired ones). I’ve been looking at some tutorials on how to convert a store bought, hardwired fixture to a plug in. Then this link showed up at the party … like I said, perfect timing!
No Sew Bed Skirt from Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body
Okay all of you without sewing machines … there’s no excuse now! Tasha shows just how easy it is to create a bedshirt from a sheet with NO SEWING and NO CUTTING. Seriously … could not be any easier!! My mind is blown!
Vintage Painter’s Tray Shelf from Denise on a Whim
Denise WOWS me just about every week with her thrifty makeovers, and this week is no exception. I just love this printers tray turned display shelf! I also love that she kept the contents of the shelves simple … SMILE and a bird. Just perfect!
DIY State Pillow by Michelle Lea Design
How adorable is this pillow?? Besides the fact that this one has Oklahoma on the front, it’s just about perfect for the new baby’s room. Michelle includes a download for every state, so I could add MN! Hmmmm … add it to the list!
Purple Stenciled Table from Interior Frugalista
I have a serious desire to stencil something … a wall, a table, a basket, something!!! I love how this one turned out! Marie did a great job on this makeover!
Reading Nook from Crafts By Courtney
I love how Courtney made this little reading nook for her boys. It kinda makes me want to sit down and read The Lorax RIGHT now!! I happen to have some Ikea photo ledges laying around in our basement, and the perfect space for just this in the nursery. Yep, I’m inspired!!
Rustic Succlent Grapevine Wreath from Soho Sonnet Creative Living
My front door needs this wreath … ASAP. Sonnet did a great job on this. I just love the colors, the rustic-ness, the little mini wreath-in-a-wreath … everything!
Painted Grain Sack Tray from Average But Inspired
Love the details that Bre added to this tray! Looks adorable with her Spring decor on top!
Repurposed Set of Drawers from Penny’s Vintage Home
This JUMPED off the page at me. Seriously. Maybe it’s the greenery and flowers that has be thinking Spring, Summer, and warmer weather, but it’s such a cute idea for an old set of drawers. Very Shabby Chic … my favorite style!!
Well … inspired yet?? The one bad thing about hosting this link party every week, is that MY to-do list keeps getting longer … and longer … and longer …
Be sure to drop by this weekend … 5pm CST on Saturday Evening to get MORE inspiration and link up your favorite projects of the week!
