10 Fabulous Furniture Makeovers {DIY Sunday Showcase Features}

April 25, 2014

Happy Friday!  I’m back today with a round up of 10 FABULOUS furniture makeovers linked up at last weekend’s DIY Sunday Showcase.  Seriously … I’m beyond impressed by all the talent out there!

>>  CHECK ‘EM OUT!  <<

Aqua Glass Table with Copper Knobs from BrePurposed

Those copper knobs and fabric mod podged to the sides are great!  I’ve never thought to mod podge fabric to furniture.  Uh oh … watch out baby’s dresser … I’m comin’ for you!!

Orange Campaign Dresser Makeover from Phoenix Restoration

Oh My … is all I can say.  This dresser is stunning!  I just LOVE the color.  Love the hardware.  Love the navy striped lamps.  It would be the perfect dresser for Owen and Charlie’s Big Boy Room that we’re still working on.  Not sure I have the patience for 6 coats with 16 hours in between plus 60 days of cure time, though.  :)

Vintage Cane Chair Makeover also from Phoenix Restoration

WOW!  There is a lot that goes into re-upholstering a chair!  The result is beautiful, though!!  I just love that deep blue Ikat fabric on the now white chair!  I’m beginning to wish Christina from Phoenix Restoration lived in Minnesota!!

Desk Makeover from Confessions Of A Serial DIYer

Not a fan of the before … one bit, but this after is just FABULOUS!!!  You know I love white (wish my whole house could paint itself that color), but the distressing on this adds so much.  Those knobs are great!! Oh, and … I also want that awesome chair!

Mid Century Dresser Makeover

Mid Century Modern Painted Dresser from Addison Meadows Lane

This turned out great and I love how Stacey shares the step by step details of how it got that way!

Bedside Table Makeover (and so much more) from Beckwith’s Treasures

I love how how this nightstand turned out (it’s white … with gold hardware, how could I not?!?), but it’s just one of FOUR fun makeovers in this post.  Love ALL the afters!

dining room table stained

Extreme Dining Room Table Makover (part 1) from Crafty Allie

Oh wow … the before was bad, but this stain is GORGEOUS.  Can’t wait to see the part 2 … (maybe at tomorrow’s link party?!?)

Coral Painted Nightstand from Creative Pink Butterfly

What a fun color … especially for Spring!  The matching stool is adorable, too!

Antique KINDEL Dresser Makeover from Art is Beauty

Goregeous … everything about this dresser!!  The paint … the wood … those fantastic knob … I love it all!  SUCH a drastic change from the before!

Coffee Table Makeover also from Art Is Beauty

As the title of the post suggests, this piece really did go from EWWW to FABULOUS!!  The bright orange before was, well … aweful.  I love the minty color Karen choose.  The stencil works perfectly on this piece!  LOVE it!!

Well … aren’t you inspired to go thrift store shopping and start your own furniture makeover after all these great projects?!?  I am!!  (and then I remembered how much other stuff we have to get done before #3 arrives in 3 weeks).

Speaking of baby #3 … I’ve mentioned this a couple times lately, but I’m still looking for some awesome guest posters this summer to help me out during those first weeks/months home with the little man (or lady?).

If you would be interested in helping me out … send me an email to discuss details.  I can’t tell you how much I’d appreciate it!!

Thanks for stopping by again today!  Be sure to stop back by tomorrow and link up your best of this past week!  We go live at 5pm Central!

Ah, I love ALL of these! When we moved into our place a few years ago, we were new graduates without a single piece of furniture to our name. I loved garage sale-ing, thrifting, and dumpster diving for old things and then revamping them into new things :) So much inspiration here!

I must say you have good a very good eye for designs, each and everything looks bespoke and beautiful. If you will sell these furniture you can make a good money out of it.
